I miss the good old days.

I miss the days when parents didn't hate me.
I miss the days when I didn't have danger looming over my head.
I miss the days when my hormones didn't go wacko every time I saw a pretty girl.
I miss the days when I could watch cartoons and not be called a dork.
I miss the days when I didn't have to take any fucking meds.
I miss the days when homework was coloring in things that started with the letter 'A'.
I miss the days when I got enough sleep.
I miss the days when I saw my friends ever day.
I miss the days when playing the cello was a hobby and not an obligation.
I miss the days when I liked everyone, and everyone liked me.
I miss the days when I actually got a break when we had a week off from school.
I miss the days when seeing family members wasn't so stressful.
I miss the days when I could look at my yearbooks and smile instead of cry.
I miss the days when I wasn't expected to know things without being told.
I miss the days when I wasn't expected to do much at all, actually.

And yet; I wouldn't trade these cosplaying, spell-casting, girl-chasing, med-taking days for anything in the world.
Because I know who I am, I know who my friends are, and I know we're gonna make it.
